Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide

When I first fired up Vermintide, I expected your run-of-the-mill co-op slasher, but what I got instead was an intense, rodent-filled nightmare that somehow manages to be both terrifying and hilarious at the same time. Imagine if Left 4 Dead and The Secret of NIMH had a child, but that child was born with a sword and a severe hatred of hygiene.

You’ll team up with a band of misfits to hack, slash, and occasionally panic-scream your way through a world that’s mostly rats… really, really angry rats. There are hordes of them—like the entire cast of Ratatouille just found out they were getting replaced by robots in the kitchen.

Pros:

Brutally Fun Combat: If you’ve ever wanted to feel like a medieval pest control specialist who might accidentally burn down the entire neighborhood, this is the game for you.

Rat Ogres are Hilarious: It’s not every day you get thrown across the map by what is essentially a rodent bodybuilder on steroids.

Co-Op Chaos: Nothing bonds you to strangers like trying to survive a flood of Skaven while yelling, “HEAL ME, I’M DYING!” into your headset.

The Voice Acting: The voice lines are gold, especially when you realize how utterly done the characters are with the endless tide of rats.


Cons:

Friendly Fire: If you play with friends, prepare for betrayal. Accidentally. Mostly. Probably.

Difficulty Spikes: One moment you're chopping through Skaven like it’s your day job, and the next a Stormvermin squad wipes out your entire team like you're made of cheese.

The Loot System: Your reward for braving these horrors? A roll of the dice. Literally. RNGesus is either with you, or you’re getting a new hat while everyone else finds legendary weapons.


Overall, Vermintide is a rat-filled rollercoaster that’s as fun as it is frantic. Just... try not to cry when you get buried under a Skaven swarm because your buddy was too busy looting.
