Way too unpolished; jump too much and you'll get stuck in places where you can't get out of without reloading. When a game doesn't even _try_ to block off areas you shouldn't technically be in I lose all interest. Shame though, I was really hoping for a good remake of these classics, I won't bother with the second installment either.

A fresh take on an old classic. The game feels sufficiently true to the original without becoming a pointless remaster - it's a new game in it's own right. The art style and music has gotten a face lift that embodies all that is Little Big Adventure. While the original game had janky controls, the new game has an updated gameplay and control system that feels VERY smooth and satisfying to play. Yes, this removes some of the difficult and frustrating aspects of the original game, but for a remake to be meaningful there needs to be some artistic and technical freedom to innovate and explore new paths. As a die hard fan of the original I don't feel let down by these decisions - if I want to feel the true jank of the original then it's always available on steam, and if I want a new fresh take on a childhood favorite then here it is! Best of luck to the devs, let's now support their ongoing effort to finally release what we've all have been waiting for - Little Big Adventure 3!
