You know, i thought i'd never see a game more greedy, manipulative and financially abusive, than shelter 69, but somehow, almost impressively, here we are.

Ill give you a quick TLDR, but i suggest you read below as well
Incredibly greedy, intense FOMO abuse, grindier than asian game titles, with only art as its saving grace

Now that the zoomers are out of here, let us have a frank discussion about what this is, means, and some of the things it does to people. I write this in hopes of perhaps saving someone's time and money, because unlike THIS disgusting set of people who created this game; i value yours.

Note that this game is of course free, and i very much (as a system designer and game dev myself!) support that dev's, especially those making free games for you, deserve to have income as well, and should be supported by their playerbase. THIS however, is absolutely not that. On any level. And if the developer(s) see's this, i genuinely, actually, hope you have a terrible rest of your life, you deserve NOTHING less.

So what exactly is wrong with this, lets set out some simple aspects of this that is wrong
First of all, this game itself uses FOMO (fear of missing out) to the extreme- there's several different sets of timed events, and now here's the first thing i noticed that's incredibly scummy; you might join the game on the 15th... Lets say middle of a week, this means you of course do not have 7 days to complete the "login every day" - which starts you on 1. Reasonable, but the dev's OF COURSE, are "gracious" enough to let you purchase the item instead with real world currency, and battle pass where in if you DIDNT join on EXACTLY the 1st day of the event "oopsie guess you dont get the main thing!" - and will repeatedly remind you with popups.

Now one of the worst offenses i see, which is ACTUALLY criminal, like, actually illegal, is that they purposely leave out currency sign on their store to purchase their imaginary mcGuffin tokens - such as "would you like 1000 gems! For only 10" - 10 what? 10 in game shiny rocks? dollars? euro? your moms? The purposeful obfuscation is clear, yes, i know what you did, you garbage human "dev's" - because of fickle and weak minded individuals.. God its so scummy.

But those things aside, and many others im leaving unsaid; the grind, so the game starts you off, not telling you about YES OF COURSE, the free to play model of "energy" so you are limited, by 1 energy every 3 minutes, but up to a total of 100 at most, which, if you arent math savvy means 5 hours, per 100, which is oddly shaped just enough for you to WASTE as much time possible. Going to sleep? Guess you wasted 4 of those hours, unless you wake up mid way through, or work, or anything - Purposely trying to predate on the FOMO of energy, as well -

oh right i didnt even ge to the grind yet. So guess what, you have a couple of resources, stone, wood, gemstones and coin, and then their dumb imaginary abusive currency - however, you have NO passive income of neither wood, nor stone, nor gemstones, only coin - and their "store" of course has a very predatory "resource exchange" service, which just HAPPENS to offer you to, for their imaginary abuseCoins that you can buy with real money, you can turn INTO the resources you need - to even get started WITH the game, because you MUST construct buildings to unlock anything, or even progress

Have to split that into two paragraphs, sorry, so THEN they just so happen to ONLY offer GETTING stone and wood and gems FOR their abuseCoin, but you can trade stone and wood INTO normal coins, but NOT normal coins (THE ONLY THING, you have any generation to get) into wood or stone, because.. what, thats a crazy idea, buying lumber and stone? Who would ever do that - regardless, this then means you HAVE to expend a ridiculous amount of energy per mission, you can replay for EXTREMELY small rewards, to expend hours, grinding for - let me give you some math on that;

5 hours per 100 energy, each mission of the highest quality you have access to without unlocking buildings which you need the resources for - takes 8 energy per, and graciously grants you 20 wood or stone.. Now, building just the first level of laboratory, or forge, each is like 500 wood, 500 stone.. That comes out to, 25 times repeating THE SAME mission OVER AND OVER, per 500, so thats 50 mission REPEATS - whcih requires 400 energy, every 3 minutes you get 1 - that comes out to TWENTY ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ HOURS. And thats IF you check every 5 hours PERFECTLY, in reality its more like 2 days.

And let me reiterate, without paying or expending their imaginary abuseCoins you quite literally CAN NOT progress, because you ALSO need resources expendature to upgrade your harem people, and EACH of their abilities, AND literally GAMBLE roll for potentially ♥♥♥♥ items that will be exactly the same as what you have

These absolute abusive LOSERS, value nothing but greed, i could and want to mention so much more but steam will quite literally limit the amount of text so ill leave with this;
Dev's, ♥♥♥♥ you, you're what's wrong with humanity, i hope your children get cancer and you have to watch them suffer.
