Hmm, can you maybe provide me with more details. You bought a bench (which is for 3 people), and then you hired 2 blacksmiths as game asked you to, and then what happened exactly? Did you open the window where you have an option to hire 1 of 4 assistants?

Sorry for the last response - yes I was following the prompts. I bought and placed the bench, then hired the 2 blacksmiths and then nada. I could click around the blacksmith's screen but it wouldn't let me back out and when clicking on the assistants tab there was nothing there. It wouldn't let me back out of the hiring screen at all so I hard closed out of the game and reloaded. when I reloaded, the prompt to end the day came up so maybe that was messing with the quest? I ended the day and I was able to hire an assistant the next day no problems

I hadn't had any issues since and went up to 3 benches with 9 hires before stopping playing. good game!

Hmm, I will have to investigate this again, I thought I fixed it hahaha The problem was happening if the game was paused during staff tutorial, but I'll have to see what else is going on. Thank you all for reporting it!
