If you like racing games and more into derby racing, in a simulator like style or interested to see some well made damage models for cars, then Wreckfest is your game. Graphics is really good for it's time and the damage models are well made, getting not just the proper visual damage model but actual damage which is going to effect the car. Soundtrack is fitting with tons of tracks from the rock genre. At first the driving might seems difficult and the controls are might be tricky, but afters some time you can get used to it, also you can use different assists to make it more bearable. Multiplayer is still alive, which is the important bit to be fair. The additional cars from the season passes are also pretty good, most of them are quite useful in racing and quite helpful in the career.

However, as I played more in career mode I realized that the AI most times don't care to race against you properly when they just decide to ram you without trying to win the race. Obviously this is a derby game and that should happen, but if there is a race going on I would have expected the AIs to actually go for it instead of randomly try to crash me out. Also, the game also like to rig the points when there are multiple cars DNFed in the race ignoring the race order and giving out points for the other cars to solely make a more difficult championship for the player. The career is also getting quite repetitive and overdone around the last 2 divisions. What I also noticed is the mechanics of ramming which works a bit weird: basically if you are going to steer towards with whatever momentum you have, you are going to either stop that vehicle to go towards you or you are going to push it away, regardless of the other car's input in my opinion. At least in the career I was able to defend or dodge ram attempts just input towards the other vehicle even though I was not going that strongly against it. Finally, there are quite a few lobbies to race at in Wreckfest but most of them have fixed rules which if you brake you are going to get kicked, so you either want to pay attention all kinds for rules and terms in the lobbies or you want to find a lobby which fits for you, or you are going to have a bad time to find some proper lobbies for you.

Wreckfest is a really fun game for a few hours, it's not really a game you can play extensively, and I think you can have the most out of it if you play with others in multiplayer, even with friends. Career mode is great to get used to the game, but later it gets repetitive and long to complete. I can recommend the game if you looking for a multiplayer racing game and you know or expect others to play with you, however 30€ is a bit too much for it, I can imagine paying 18€ for this one.

About the DLCs, obviously you can get both season passes, the cars are really helpful in the career and can be useful in multiplayer as well, however I wouldn't pay more than 17€ for both of the DLCs. If you only want to get the essentials, I would recommend the Getaway, Reckless, Banger Racing and Rusty Cars Packs, these has quite good cars in general.
