Given the nature of Glorantha before the Dawn, maybe a destroyed clan raiding you makes sense. But it still feels off. So that’s one of the issues we addressed in the latest update. Here’s a summary:

As game makers, it’s great to see you enjoying the game. As developers, we hate it when you run into problems, so we’ve been trying to fix those. Version 1.0.3 has a bunch of improvements for both game play and the UI.

Continuing your clan’s story from Six Ages: Ride Like the Wind turned out to be more of a hassle than we thought. In most cases you shouldn’t need to first manually choose the save folder (from Controls on the main menu).

You should always be able to rely on your clan ring for advice, but with their advice depends on their own abilities and traits and the situation. In some events, different combinations could end up with an advisor not really contributing anything. There are now fewer of these.

It’s exciting to see people playing the game! We also appreciate your comments and bug reports, and have addressed many of those in this update.

We added a master volume slider to the Controls dialog in the main menu and Controls screen.

Many fixes related to specific situations in the emergent narrative. Previous decisions might have resulted in you being unable to proceed in battle. And several multi-season story lines won’t have interruptions that strain credibility. We also found a few places to clarify the text. And as always, we tried to improve the quality of advice. (If you don’t already, be sure to check what each advisor says during an event. I think some of the funniest writing is here.)

Most of these handle unusual circumstances, like a character dying while in a spirit-induced coma or when about to make a divination, or someone exploring their former homeland. Some related to making advice more relevant (for example, with a child king). In addition, Harsh games now start with a feud (based on our analysis of beta test games).

Six Ages 2 is all about life after myths. Death, disaster, despair.

This new installment in the Six Ages series is a stand-alone survival-storybook combining interactive fiction and turn-based strategy. The world is ending, and your small clan's survival depends on how you manage its relationship with the remaining gods and their followers.


Managing your clan is complex, but may require you to:

• Explore the wilderness
  
• Trade with (or raid!) your neighbors
  
• Settle disputes mundane, spiritual, or political
  
• Improve livestock pastures
  
• Make offerings
  
• Build altars
  
• Travel to the Otherworld

Whether you're dealing with angry ghosts or clan policy, there's rarely one "right" or "wrong" answer, because the deep simulation will make your particular situation unique. Remember that your choices have socio-economic impact, and your advisors often squabble amongst themselves, but some consequences might not be obvious for decades and could affect future generations of a character's bloodline.
