I had a guess and have proved it now. In Clash mode the character will always apply to the first set of combos e.g. the set of combos that are numbered as 1 at the skill interface. If the player chooses set no.2 or 3 it will apply in any other game mode than in Clash mode. If you would like to fix it, you should set that in Clash mode it will apply the same set of combos that the player chooses at the skill interface.
