Hello! A new update is available: 1.11.1

This update fixes various bugs, adds manual saving, as well as command and mod support via Datapackles!

Datapackle and command documentation can be found in "Menu > Info > Datapackle Documentation". Commands allow for greater control over the game. They are able to modify object properties and levels. Datapackles are files of commands which allow many commands to be run simultaneously. This can then allow for custom boss battles, infinite health or creating new objects, etc. Please give it a try!

Bugs can be report in "Menu > Info > Bugs / Feedback".

Game

“Click to start” now appears again.
Game Starts in Fullscreen by default.
Level 2 Grumble noises no longer loud after round.
Going from Level 6 Coin Rush to another level won’t lead to decimal coin values.
Hidden GUI appears when mouse is moved.
Tree Dialog disappears when not viewing map.

System

Manual Save Shortcut: ALT+K
On Windows, if game unsaved, prompt to save.
Water shader included in Performance settings.
All shortcuts switched from using SHIFT to ALT.
Special Coins now tracked.
Splash Particles now counted as Particles in debug.
There is a console that can run commands.
Some notifications now appear in The Console.
Lots of surfaces being created has now been fixed.
Save files moved to a new location.

Options Tab

Option to toggle Auto Saving
Option to toggle Auto Fullscreen.
Images pop up for options: High Contrast, Bare Bones, Movement Style, Pixel Smoothing, Ground Texture and Show Debug.
Option to toggle The Console.

GUI

Jump and Sprint prompts in bottom left of GUI.
Arrows don’t appear on minimap if there are more than 10 coins.

Steam

“Only Free Time” description fixed.

Windows

Splash screen on Windows turned on.

Datapackles 0.1 (Beta)

In the Console, commands can be run. Do ‘/help’ to see them.
Create a datapackle with ‘/datapackle NAME’.
Commands can be put into the datapackle file at ‘…/Datapackles/NAME/main.datapackle’.
Some commands may crash the game, proceed with some caution, report any crashes to Charmful.

Hello! A new update is available: 1.11

This update adds new dialog in the story and hidden dialog scenes. Improves various aspects of flow, navigation and the Info Tab. Adds the ability to remap keyboard buttons. And now works on MacOS!

4 new dialog scenes in story added!
1 new cutscene added!
Location based dialog added!
Jump button prompt appears above boss
Sleeping sprite fixed for nighttime
Water ripples on water in rain
Removed “Mwhahaha” at start
Coins always rush away on level 2.
Tus’s face stays on the tree.

System

Unit testing of functions.
Button prompt fixed when in multiplayer battle mode.
Extended duration game needs to lag for before automatically adjusting graphics.

Title collision with mouse fixed.

MacOS Build

Steam MacOS build available for 1.10.4 and 1.11.

Hello! A new update is available: 1.10.4

This update improves the fight against the Grumblepuff, adds atmosphere to the map, and fixes some bugs caused by dependency updates. Thank you for the bug reports! Most of them should be fixed. As always bugs can be reported in Menu>Credits>Feedback/Bug Report.

Game

The Grumblepuff now has a hurt and death SFX.
Map Collision better around river.
Snow particles have a new sprite.
Level 8 has more visual affects and animations.
Flowers and sticks can be picked from the bushes.
Trees and bushes have SFX and particles when clicked.
Leaves blow in the wind.
Boss hand now moves properly with its bullet attack.
Tree dialog boxes depth better.
Tree NPCs blink!
Tree NPCs have new names: Euca, Lypt and Tas.
Grumblepuff hitbox smaller for slam attack.
Controller Mouse bug now fixed.
Mouse mode now fixed.
Alt+Tab crash potentially fixed.

System

Savefile names are limited to the alphabet and numbers and 16 characters.
Internal unit testing. Shift+Delete.
Fog draws more efficiently.

GUI

Restart button has custom cursor.
Custom textboxes for creating a savefile and reporting errors.
If Player 1 is obscured by GUI, GUI now goes transparent.

Steam Build

Achievements now work again.

Known Bugs

Jumping on boss doesn't work with controller.
Game can't be made full screen using Windows' Maximise button.
