starts up and immediatly closes again.
no idea what to do yet.

I posted in other post to your question OP but for easier visibility this may help some.

Others have said limiting fps to 60 helps as sometimes if fps is too high it may crash when trying to open the game.

The sw.exe is missing so I can't even go to the control panel to change the fps.

Sounds like antivirus falsely flagging and removing it. Create an exception to keep it from doing that.

the sw application file said missing MSVCP120.dll so the work around was going to Microsoft and downloading the visual C++ 2013 package.

Glad you got it working

its still missing the .exe so i can run it in raze. But at least I can run it in steam.
