c:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\<user-id>\3353\
Your Steam copy should use this folder for savegames:
c:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\<user-id>\7017\
Try to copy all files from one folder into another. Not sure about expansions. Since you were playing the game through Ubisoft+ subscription, you probably don't own them anymore.
thank you very much for your response! it seems I am missing the folder 3353. I do have folder 7017, I actually think that I no longer have the expansions because I only bought the basic game on Steam. this is not a big deal for me but I have 16 hours in the game and would like to pick up where I left off, the folders I have in the location described are 635, 1843, 7017, 11903, I hope you can help me
11903 is Ghost Recon: Breakpoint folder.
7017 is Watch Dogs: Legion Steam folder.
So it seems like you don't have save files from your Ubisoft+ playthrough stored locally on your PC. You can't download saves of a Ubisoft game from a cloud without downloading. installing and launching that game. So there is nothing you can do about it.
okey thank you for al the help. what i did to fix it now is. I took out a subscription to Ubisoft+ Classic for 1 euro, downloaded the game from Ubisoft client, then fortunately I had my save file again, which I uploaded to the cloud. I then started the game on steam and downloaded the save file from the cloud. So this has solved it, luckily I have my progress back, a big shout out to kenTWOu for helping me with this problem, thank you very much again,
