How to win deal with 10 man-o-war
In the Ascold quest, i have to sink 10 man-o-war but i always run out of crew if i board them and i can't beat them in a cannon fight. I found the log but if i flee, i can't find Amatike bay on the map. seems i have to sink all the man-o-war to get there. Someone know a workaround?

Idk. I haven't gotten there, I can barely take a class two ship much less a MoW, I waste all my gunpowder on canister fire that does no good in destroying crew prior to boarding, unlike in CoAS, where u could dwindle down crew with cannons before you board.
Like in black sails where the walrus and ranger take on the MoW and are destroyed.
Maybe the new game coming out in Feb '24 will be better.

If you're facing 10 rank 1 ships you should have a pretty massive ship of your own, right? A solid grapeshot broadside should be more than enough to wipe out a good chunk of the enemy crew, which should make for a swift and decisive boarding. Also can you elaborate on what quest this is?

To answer your question , for coas. capture 5 battleship + all upgrades in sharptown,
Then use chainshot to lower the enemy speed, once it is lower enough, i just pick them 1 by 1. thats is how i defeat ascold quest.

Battleship is better than manowar. Faster.

Lol I did it only using the CoAS corvette, the Dog of War. Wasn't playing on a low difficulty.
