Eh... I've got some really mixed feelings about this game.

This was the first Fallout game I played back when I was like 15-16 years old, and back then I did enjoy it! It was pretty fun learning about the world, what happened during The Great War, and exploring the capital wasteland. Fast forward to now, I'm 21 years old, and I genuinely don't know how to feel about this game after playing other games in the franchise.

The combat in this game is my main complaint. It's not great. Aiming doesn't have you actually aim your weapon. Instead, the camera just zooms in. There's also the games VATS system which is horribly unreliable, hit boxes from random things in the terrain can get in the way really easily, and the guns just don't feel very satisfying here imo

Then there's the game's story, which is a bit of a mess to say the least. There are certain decisions that just don't make sense. I won't say what exactly here, but it can definitely throw you off when someone makes a weird decision or someone's mad at you for seemingly no reason.

And finally, the game's character models and graphics don't look the best here. Like seriously, just about every other game I've played from around this time, or even a few years before this came out, impress me more when it comes to the graphics and character models. Most people like the models or don't mind them, but I'm not really a fan of them. I think they look terrible most of the time.

After playing NV, I can't really see myself playing this again for a long time, and when I do eventually come back to this, it'll most definitely have to be heavily modded to fix this games bugs and weird design choices.

Just buy New Vegas. 4/10
