Easy way to find my compatdata folder
I double my subjects from here: Where is the damn Proton compatdata directory of my game !

I am using Proton for windows steam games and windows non-steam games
Each time I want to backup/move my savegames, add mods manualy, acess to a config file... I have to open each directory and guess who is who by checking on appdata, my documents, ...
I know it is possible to find game id on the url of the store etc, but... :steamfacepalm:
And I never find a way for non steam games :steamsad:

Why not just giving the id or the path to the directory in steam?
Or even better, a simple button on the game configuration (under the scrolling menu for choosing a specific proton version for exemple ?) to open the proton directory of the game ?

:SBpenguin:

edit: as suggested on the other topic, the ID for the steam games is available under the "update" tab of the game. No clue for non-steam games...

Having an option similar to the "Browse Local Files" would be great

Each game saves the data differently, it is a mapping of the directory structure in windos, as the game created them.

I'd love a button to quick access the files, but meanwhile, use this :
Install protontricks and run
protontricks --gui
Select your game, Select the default wineprefix, then select Browse files.
It works for steam & non-steam games.
Cheers!
