It isnt. Its a semi-realistic spaceflight sim. the draw of the game is building and flying. Why did you buy this game? what did you think this was, banjo-kazooie 3?

there's plenty of stuff to find on each planet... There are easter-eggs on each planet, and not just one....

Theres a lot to do even in vanilla KSP. Half the fun is getting to these destinations, developing your space program the way you want, there are things to find on the different planets and unique science on a lot of them and like the other guy said lots of easter eggs all over. Also, if vanilla doesnt suit your fancy, there is an almost endless supply of mods at your disposal to build about any kind of game you want, from combat mods, other solar systems, multiplayer mods, life support mods (I HIGHLY recommend Kerbalism - that adds all kinds of depth to the game with just that mod alone) and a plethora of parts and technologies from Interstellar extended, near future, and cryogenics. This game is FAR from boring.
