I recently received a copy of the game. On SteamHunters I was told that the game is completely unplayable without registering an account before a certain date. Is this true?

Missed this game so much!!! Talked about it all the time and always told people how I missed it and wished I could still play it, but my old PC was dead. Well turns out I can just download it from my steam account and just like that, childhood nostalgia floods my office, played for like 5 hours straight! This game is still awesome even after more than a 10 year absence! How do people still have/play this game? How could I get a copy for my wife so we can play together?...

Bought a steam CD key and it worked perfectly, just had to edit the game user data file to bypass the ubisoft login but now it works and my wife and I can play together, never thought after more than 10 years I'd be playing this game again. Such a shame they took Ruse off the store/stopped updating it, very fun and engaging game, hours go by without even noticing! Imagine Ruse with 2024 graphics, updated equipment, add-on packs, etc. It would be wild!...

14 years passed. we are still here

I swear that any game I have joined recently, I've been kicked within 10 seconds of joining. Is there anyone left that just wants to have a laugh in a great game? Hmu
