It's extremely rare that BattlEye has banned you for nothing.
The most likely reasons you were banned are:
- You hacked
- You tried to hack but it turned out to be a key-stealer
- You downloaded an 'optimizer,' installed something with an .exe, or used some other suspicious software
- You have a virus/malware on your computer

BattlEye bans a GUID/key if it's detected using hacks. It doesn't matter if it's by you or someone else. Your key is your responsibility.

Do the most logical thing and contact BattlEye.

The Global Ban ID is only used for player-identification purposes. (6 digits of your GUID.)
It doesn't tell the reason as to why you were banned.

I don't care what you have to say as an excuse or an explanation.
BattlEye are the only people who can do anything about your ban.

Did you have something like an overlay enabled? For example TS overlay?

BattleEye will makes mistakes sometimes. They can detect overlays, like TS overlay, as an hack or game application.

BattlEye doesn't create false-positives from overlays such as Teamspeak, Xfire, etc.
They've had that fixed a long time ago.

Even if it did, that's exactly why I'm telling people to contact BattlEye. They can check what caused the Global Ban, and will tell you whether or not the ban was valid. If it turns out to be a false-positive, they will remove the ban.

Dont bother trying to contact Battleye if you did actually hack. it will just be a waste of your time.

Obviously.

Pfft don't even bother contacting them even if you didn't hack. They still say its a valid ban even if you didn't hack or download any other suspicious programs >.> I tried getting them to at least tell me what this evidence was, but the wouldn't. If I was the one who hacked then what does it matter if you tell me what I did? Just like OP I tried to get on DayZ after I got Arma2 OA, and had the global ban message.

I'm not saying I"m a saint. only game I've hacked on was Battlefield 3 but that 1.) Uses Origin not steam, 2.) Doesn't use BattleEye .... sssssoooooo.... that couldn't be anything related.

Your best bet would just find a server that doesnt use BattleEye, waste your money on new copies, or wait for the stand-alone to ever come out :\

BattlEye only tells you that the ban is valid as long as SOMEONE has hacked while using your GUID, because that's their policy. That's what they're paid to do by Bohemia -- to ban players that have hacked. It doesn't matter if it's the actual owner of the game, their friend/brother, or someone who has stolen the CD-key. If the ban is an actual false-positive however, they WILL unban you. They have to.

As for "evidence," they don't know what program/script you've used to hack their anti-cheat only detects the hacks on a more complex level. It's not like they get a pop-up that says "Player #305922 has spawned an ammo box!" The anti-cheat detects memory edits and the sort. (Hard to explain when you don't actually know how the anti-cheat works. If it was public information, there'd be even more "hackers" exploiting it, defeating the purpose.)

Bottom line: If you're so close-minded that you can only see things from your perspective, yes. You were banned for no reason. But if you were able to see the situation from BattlEye's side, you are just a 6-digit number to them that triggered a flag, resulting in an instant ban.

As explained in great length above, you weren't banned for no reason.
Not unless you think nothing happens outside of your conscious self.

Wulfie if you think that battleeye is perfect then you sadly are the one not thinking that anything happens outside your concious self... Everyone makes mistakes, even battleeye
