Alchemy Level
Sorry to be a bother but I don't understand how one raises their Alchemy level. Is it story locked or just using an experince point system we can't see/ Or is it item specfic?

You have to make the specific item it shows on the ladder. They usually require very specific components because they have super low quality for their rarity. Like making a purple 30 quality for Gold - it's very easy to get a simple blue Oroborus instead without the exact recipe. It says you can skip tiers by making the specific item for a higher rank but in practice that is very hard since they limit the amount you can put in based on your alchemy level.
ooooooooh ok that makes sense now. i thought they ere showing tiers
you have to use random alchemy to get it. It has to be alchemy value 30 and be purple which should be the gold.

Anyone have any clue how to make the item to go from 4->5? (impure gold I think)
How do we unlock 8, 9, and 10? Do we get the recipes later?
You have to upgrade the merchant as much as possible, she sells the recipes for them. She might only sell them after a certain week has passed too.

It is somewhat random luck without the specific recipe but I got it with 2x Intermediate Spirit (13 grade, Purple Quality) and 2x Hosta Flax (2 grade, Gray Quality). There is some luck involved, I got a few blue quality 30 gold flakes but then got it.

You can buy those alchemy recipe from merchant.
I still don't understand what I should make. The ladder thing says I need that dandelion thingy, I have and now? I don't know what grade 2, 3 ect. means and where there it shows or which items I need to put together.

Ah when they use "grade" They actually mean Alchemical Value: Or the number in the top left. So to get an item with that value you'd use random alchemy to add up to that value.

So for Value 2 Hosta Flax you'd use 2 Sulfurs.

The tricky thing is there are also colored Tier Levels. White<Green<Blue<Purple<Gold<Red.

Those go from most common to rarest tiers. So say you need an item that has the AV of 33.... but because 33 has more than one TL tied to it, you'll be kinda relying a bit on luck.
Supposedly there are items that when used either increase or decrease TL chances but... I don't have data to say if they affect it or not. Hope this helps.

Oh! And it does seem that the Red items needed to increase the MC's Alchemy Level do come from the shop once it's leveled. That was mentioned above but just wanted to clarify. Have fun!

>Hello! To my knowledge, your alchemy level is raised when the item at each step of the ladder (Lv.2, Lv.3, Lv.4, Lv.5 etc) is crafted. I believe Lv.1 - Lv.6 can be crafted manually, and Lv.7 - Lv.9 require a recipe scroll bought from the merchant as your progress through the story.
[Edit Oct 24: Lv.10 recipe is obtained through story progression]

>The yellow number in the top left of each alchemic item represents it's value (sort of like the 'periodic table' as some have mentioned in other posts & comments).

>I'm assuming "grade" is pretty much the rarity of the alchemic item, which I see it as the border color of each alchemic item (gray, green, blue, purple, gold).
>From my experience, most alchemic items can be crafted with no particular recipe, as long as they meet the specified value at the top left. But there is a sense of RNG involved (hence "Random Alchemy"), as each refinement you execute doesn't guarantee the rarity that you want. (gray, green, blue being most common products, and purple, gold being less common). Some alchemic items have recipe scrolls to go with, to bypass the RNG factor completely.

>Also keep in mind, that if you're trying to make a specific alchemic item through RNG, to not use any "Alchemical Sediment [#]" within the formula, as you won't get anything other than Sediment & will only increase the value of it.
>I usually just save the Sediment on the side whenever I do Soul Alchemy and craft 5,282~ of the currency at a time before the auction rolls around. (Definitely not an efficient source to get souls, but it indirectly helps alleviate the amount of times Slaughter is used).

Hope this is somewhat useful. Feel free to correct anything that I said is wrong, and I'm also looking for side tips if anyone's got any! : )

Is there any suggestions on crafting the one needed for alchemy 6, gold 48 or whatever? I've been at it for...a while now with no progress made.

Mostly just pure RNG.

First, get the oracle that gives you blue items every time you do random alchemy. Unless you need it immediately, then I would wait until the very end of the 4 weeks (sunday). Craft 48 using only two items at a time. 99% you fail, but whatever. If you can't craft 48, then craft whatever. You get 1 item back due to the alchemy, and ~50% chance of getting alchemical sediment. Also, I would only do Refine 10x at a time to save your sanity.

Keep crafting 48 until you run out of mats. Then combine the alchemical sediments two at a time to get more blue items. You can repeat this near infinitely if you want. I also buy the Greens and Blues in Hoshino's shop when they are there too (with the -50% cost oracle).

You will eventually get gold 48. There are some items that say "increases the chance of refining Golden Items significantly" but I can't tell at all that it works.

Anyways, it is kind of ridiculous that you get like 20 million gold per 4 weeks from alchemy. The downside is that it takes literally an hour to do the alchemy.

one of the guide in chinese suggest using Purple 44 + 4 (purple 44 boost chance to roll a golden by a lot) and purple 42 (boost golden by a bit)+6 might work too, but lower chance i guess ?

seem to craft purple 44 with blue 25 blue 18 and 1 for increased purple roll chance.

other than that bruteforce and luck probably.

Maybe I'm too dumb to understand this. Is it just totally random what you get and need to be lucky to become Lvl. 2 Alchemy or is this some specific you need to fuse?
