Same thing with DLSS trying to upscale a lower resolution with AI. Everything looks more blurry.
The only actual solution is to optimize the damn game and not rely on 3rd party tech gimmicks to fix it for you. Nothing too exceptional is happening on my screen so why does the CPU go to 80% utilization? Doom Eternal has way more going on in it and it doesn’t have these issues of having to rely on DLSS and FG.
And it is or was an AMD sponsered title as well, meaning there was not much interest proberly in RT and FG.
To be fair there is a lot happening and i personlly have 120 fps with the 4K Texturepack already.
Sadly you can't swap the DLSS.dll out either, like in other modern titles to get even more imagequality and fps out of it.
It will work with another .dll even online, but the image becomes a little bit distorted making it pointless.
Lossless Scaling its a cool option for series 30 but it uses interpolation not frame generation really but it is, its a good option
Yeah without it most people probably aren't going to be able to play this game smoothly because Saber doesn't care about optimization. You gotta realize that most of these high-roller spending advocates saying "gaming is expensive" "upgrade your rig" are being unrealistic. The economy is trash right now for a lot of people and most don't have the money. Devs have a steadfast responsibility to fix their game. Doesn't matter if it runs well for 20% of people with overspecced hardware. It is their responsibility to make sure the game runs before they get pats on the back at the game awards for best multiplayer and action lol (especially when their servers don't run and the game chugs since 4.1-5)
To elaborate further, the implemented DLSS option(Quality,100% sharpness) should be the far better option in terms of imagequality and fps then "lossless scaling".
Even with the 4K texture pack you can't really tell the difference between native and dlss quality, wich speaks for itself.
Yeah m8 the interpolation software giving me double the frames with 1 i-frame is an inferior option with Nvidia Image Scaling sharpening built in. I'm also playing in 1440p, keep talkin pal. Sorry man but I respectfully disagree.
There is no quality loss with Lossless Scaling. There is a known slight judder around the Marine's helmet that occurs with a wide-angle 180-degree turn and is very hardly noticeable. otherwise everything is crisp.
