Is so much more interesting. This feels like a cheap clone in every way including the movement which feels off. The main character is not designed well and too modern. The rage mechanic is annoying and having 2 dodges is unnecessary.

Game is good, not great, not triple A, but its good, its fun, i would have prefered they kept the same art style from the first game, i really like pixel art games.

I haven't played any FromSoft games to compare, but I enjoyed both this game and the first Morbid. I think it's good judged on it's own and the movement felt fine to me. I will say that I think the world of the game is more enjoyable if you have played the first one, though, as I think it does a better job of setting up the lore and without it I think you miss a lot of what makes the story/world in this game interesting.

The fight mechanics are also good and each enemy and boss had a different strategy that worked on them so that I found myself utilizing all the different elements of the combat system, with 2 exceptions. I agree that the A button dodge is superfluous. I literally never figured out a time to use it and just dodge rolled. Maybe I am missing it's proper application and it doesn't something good or unique. The other one is the perfect block, which I only found a use for during NG+ when I started using a particular blessing that improves blocking, and even then it wasn't that much better than just dodging.

its far below. Short, buggy, without anything unique or interesting.

I just beat the first boss and reached the second area. So far it feels really basic, which i expected. It's on the lower end of the souls clone list for sure. I mean you gotta be fair here. I doesn't cost as much as a good AA title.

It's maybe on the level of the first Lords of the Fallen or Hellpoint. I finished and mostly enjoyed those two games as well, despite the fact these are also below average overall.

Games like Ashen or Shattered are better compard to this and these are alright but not amazing either. Even tho for the price they are actually quite decent.

Shattered - Tale of the Forgotten King costs the same and iirc it's way smoother than this.

Let's see where this is going. It does not really look great so far.

I mean there are worse games. Like Dolmen or Bleak Faith.

EDIT: after finishing the game now i would stay with my initial statement. It's somewhere on the same level with the first Lords of the Fallen. It's playable if you wanna kill some time but nothing to write home about, which is to be expected if you look at the price.

The lords of Ire seems like a stepback from The Seven Acolytes truth to be told.
Its not even Mortal Shell tier, what's left for top tier Souls-likes like Lies of P.
