Shipwreck hotfix. Fixed an issue that was causing the shipwrecks to be non responsive.
You can now harvest a shipwreck using a spear, axe or sword.

Some more FPS Camera mode optimizations.

"Point and click changes."
-Items can now be interacted with "double click" in both camera modes.
-Items can be picked up with "Left click" in both camera modes.
-Items can now be picked up with left click while moving in both camera modes.
-Attacks can now be made using "Left click" on enemy targets in both camera modes.

Pressing E now prioritizes interacting with items that are in front of you. If there are no items in front of you, it will interact with the closest entity behind you.

(Please note that use of E to interact with entities, while still supported, is now deprecated. Point and click is the preferred method)

"Attack mechanic changes."
Left clicking the hit box of an enemy will now automatically move you in range to attack and perform the attack. If you are already in range, an attack will be made instantly.
This helps in making stealth attacks and precise backstabs.

Fixed an issue that was causing some tooltips to get stuck.

Improved the visibility of cycling targets in the ocean using the TAB key. It is now easier to see the targeted entities while in the ocean.

Reduced interaction delays on interact windows. Windows now open quicker when E key is pressed to interact with objects storage.

Water Barrel now properly shows the red color when trying to place it in the wrong location.

Altered the tooltips and titles on some objects to give more information.

Usability patch. Fixed a bug that was causing the water barrels to not interact when standing on top of them.

Added a bit clearer description to some quest texts and tooltips.

Renamed controller mode in settings to "Mouse Cam" mode. This mode locks the camera view to the mouse (FPS mode) for those who prefer this playstyle. Default camera mode is set to RPG mode (right click drag) but it can be changed to Mouse Cam mode from settings.



Feb 8th, 2023:
Usability update. It is now easier to interact with items using left click, and double click.
Fixed a small issue that was causing conflicting interactions with UI.

Sprint now automatically turns off upon stopping to conserve energy, hunger and thirst. Sprint must now be toggled on while moving to speed up the movement. It has no effect when toggled on while standing still.



Feb 3rd, 2023:
Game default launch mode is now set to Normal instead of Medium. Please note that these are internal modes that will be available in the game later for players to choose and customize in the settings. We are just setting some groundwork for it.

In the Normal mode, you will not die of hunger or thirst, but your vitals will be significantly lowered when your food and water bars are nearly empty. Certain events like ghost invasions, hurricanes, tempests and ephemeral islands will only happen after a certain player level threshold is met.




Feb 1st, 2023: Small update.

Fixed a bug that was causing the vitals to drop quicker than normal after returning to land, after being fully submerged in water.

Added a tutorial

Some monster defense and avoidance stats have been rebalanced slightly to account for the level disparity pertaining to the demo scenario.

Known Issues:
UI Resolution mismatch on certain devices on smaller resolutions.

PCs behind strict firewalls may encounter some loading delays due to some Unity Analytics services

Loading Delays reported on certain devices behind firewalls, or devices using remote desktop sharing (Citrix etc.) or while using remote play apps. Updating drivers or checking for duplicate drivers can likely fix this issue.

Thank you so much for your patience and feedback as we addressed some issues with the FPS camera mode. The FPS camera mode was mostly experimental when the demo was first released. We have made some stability and usability changes to this mode. We understand that everyone has different preferences when it comes to camera movement. Our eyes are peeled on feedback, and it is our utmost priority to make sure we accommodate as many playstyles as possible. With this in mind, we have made some improvements!

Interaction Changes:
It is now easier to interact with objects using left click and double click while in the fps camera mode. You can interact with objects such as campfires, drying racks, etc. by simply double-clicking on them while in the fps camera mode. We still support E to interact on items in fps mode, however, point and click is the preferred and stable playstyle.


Attack Changes:
You can now left click to attack monster character targets when your mouse aim is on the monster characters. Left click attack system will only work when your aim on the monster characters is accurate. Clicking outside the hit box will yield no results.


We still support auto attack on double clicks and free attack mode such as "V".
These modes are helpful when you prefer the fixed camera playstyle.
Feel free to pick the playstyle you enjoy!

New Quests!
Two new Raft quests have been added to the message in a bottle.

QOL Changes:
You spoke, we heard! You can now hop on the turtles to ride them!
(We were surprised by just how many requests we received for the above!)
Chopping stump now makes firewood quicker. Also added visual aids to the chopping stump.
Reduced leather requirement for the raft.
Water now gives slightly more thirst instantly.
The copper sword can now be crafted at an earlier level.
An additional fish pool now spawns.
You can now find more driftwood logs on the shores.
Tooltips of certain items have been updated to provide more hints.
Campfire, Drying Rack, and Chicken now drop items properly when full.
Steamed Clam and Steamed Crab can now be cooked in the basic campfire.
Target bars now properly reset on death.
