In the past two months, I have been optimizing the content and features of the game, but the current game is not suitable for updates. Moreover, Unity6 was released last month, and upgrading the engine to Unity6 will be helpful for the performance of the game and multiplayer game development. Therefore, I have also spent some time preparing for the engine upgrade. I plan to release a major update in December.
Recently, I have mainly done these things:
1. Added prone function, AI will also prone and shoot when far away from the target.
2. Rework the scene, improve game performance.
3. Developed some shaders, improve the rendering of characters, and achieved high-performance large-scale dynamic grassland effect.
4. Added an assault rifle.
5. Optimized the handling of the vehicle.
6. Other mechanism optimizations, such as: the damage of grenades will be blocked by walls, remove the suppression effect, and the accuracy of AI throwing grenades will be reduced.
What I will do before the December update:
1. Upgrade the game engine to Unity6.
2. Develop multiplayer Co-op mode based on LAN.
3. Add special skills based on the original Touhou Project setting for the existing 2-3 characters in the game, including special animation.
