But that other game is a "sidequel", from what it looks like. Not a continuation of the main story.
Haven't played the current game yet, so I was wondering about that, too.

this is the finale :c
the story logically ends after so many years. but I personally have a feeling of incompleteness... I wanted to see Eva and Neil again, but not like that

I honestly assumed this one would also be a "sidequel". So it's a proper main entry to the series?

Maybe The Last Hour RPG really is the. . . last hour.

i don't think so.
Kan love playing with that feeling.
Impostor Factory was suposed to be the last episode, it won't.

And this beach episode seems more like a big minisode than a full game Like To The Moon, Finding Paradise, and Impostor Factory.

I'd be disgusted if Kan had just got fed up with this series and decided to wrap up the ending in a hurry, like when a series ends prematurely.

Do you really feel that this is a premature ending? It was being hinted at from the very first game.

Yes, really.

For me, this episode is more like an off-series, like A bird story (which I enjoyed immensely, what a talent, a silent game!), with a taste of a mini-episode.
It doesn't feel at all like a full game like we've had with the main episodes.

What's more, there's still an awful lot of ground to cover, unanswered questions, things to develop for Eva, the secondary characters, Sigmund Corp, the future of this machine, and what Neil and his mother will leave as a legacy for humanity.

And don't forget that silence is golden. As well as being a talented composer and storyteller, Kan is also... The head of a video game company, who needs to make a profit in order to live and grow, and allow himself and others to earn a living.
And like any commercial venture, the desire can be created, desired, and the public lyrics carefully chosen to encourage purchase. Sometimes an excellent way of doing this is to say as little as possible and to be unclear about what will happen next, to provoke an emotional response...
And we all know how good Kan is at provoking emotions.

I'm sorry, but I can't agree with this. The way I see it, not every franchise needs to turn into a deep universe spanning coutnless sequels where nothing stays unanswered. The overarching plot of this series was a personal story of two doctors that now got a satisfying conclusion.

And Final Fantasy is the final Fantasy? RPG do this all the time, and I am torn between "yeah, this will go on for ever" and "every great story knows when the time has come to finish or it continue to go on until it ruin its franchise". I am mentally not prepared for either option.

To The Moon franchise is most a 2D playable light novel than a rpg. ^^
