There is actually a tool\Mod you can use known as "SA2B Battle Network" You can download the latest version on a thread on Sonic Retro And Learn About It And How It Works.

Only thing I could think of is to look in the launcher is the controlls are set up correclty. Player 2 is off by default i think.

Yep, I never thought to check the launcher, I had it set to double keyboards and not gamepad. Thanks alot

Hey, What remote were you using to play with "One Keyboard and a controller."
Because I have a ps4 remote, and nothing else and I'm not sure if you could use ps4 remote and keyboard.

I used a ps3 controller and scptoolkit to connect it or whatever with steam, A ps4 controller is also an option

Yes. One keyboard and one controller works.

Also only need one game (with DLC if you want all the stages). Either Local or Remote Play Together (which is Steam's version of giving some games online)
