Do you have an illegal copy of the game? If you do the game will softlock in eggmans section of cannons core, a little troll from the developers if you didnt actually buy it

I bought on Steam.
Normally when a mouse icon is near someone username, that means that person has the game legally.

As for this bug, it is the first time hearing it. I have never experienced it on the GC/PS3/Steam version.

Here is a video of what it looks like when playing as Dr Eggman in Cannon Core:

Maybe doing (Verify Integrity of Game Files) could help with the game.
Are you using Mods? Maybe a mod is affecting the game.

How do I verify ingrity of game files

In library you have to right click Sonic Adventure 2 and then choose properties.
In properties you have to choose Installed Files and then you will see Verify Integrity of Game Files.

I hope this fixes the problem you have with the game.

One of my mods was the problem. Also thanks for helping!
If anyone else gets the same issue, its probably because of the Higher Draw Distance mod.
Specifically, the Object Draw Distance option. Having that set to more than 2 causes the issue.
So if you're using the Object Draw Distance option, set it to 2 to fix the issue.
