when this game was on sale i went faster than light to buy and download it so i could play it as fast as possible

This game is a classic for a reason. It's come to define its own subgenre. The gameplay loop is easy to pick up and punishingly hard to master. It didn't keep me gripped for long, though. The uninspiring art style, the frustration of not being able to keep up with the difficulty curve, and the repetitive nature of encounters and combat left me a bit bored after several hours.

I know that I am in the minority here! It just wasn't the game for me.
