This game is so boring and crap.
I bought this when it came out on steam, only played till chapter 3 then left, now i'm back in 2019 to try complete it, so far it's a really boring game, the graphics are ok but i've seen better graphics even from 2012. The web swinging is the worst in the game and so boring. the story isn't that good in my opinion and some mechanics and ideas are taken from the Batman Arkham games like the stealth levels.

i just can't progress through the game, it's just so bad. i'm not having fun. I'm just gonna pop in a completed savegame i guess and watch the ending online. i cba to play this game.

if you want to a real spiderman game, then play Web of the shadows or shattered dimensions, those are good games on PC, and even better, Spider-Man PS4

don't remind me of The Amazing Spider Man 2, that's a glitchy mess of a game, refunded it within 2 hours of gameplay.

I'm playing this crap right now too... Dead city + Crap side-quests that are too repetitive + Bad story + poor optimization with random lag spikes and multiple crashs, there wasn't one single time that i played this game for more than 2h before a random crash.
I'm also speechless because there are people willing to pay $200 for a Steam copy of this garbage, my next game is Amazing Spider Man 2 and i hope this one is at least 20% more fun and good.

actually spiderman 3 on pc or xbox360 did stealth way before arkham even existed... also spiderman 3 had detective vision which was spider sense in that game. Not sure why web of shadows and later games did not include those mechanics, I thought it was a great idea.

If you like Super-hero games and Spider-man especially, you will most likely enjoy this game. Don't go in expecting a great game like the Batman Arkham series as it's nowhere near as good but I'm having fun with it considering I bought it on Steam almost eight years ago for like 5 to 10 dollars or so... I know it's removed from the marketplace so this review only applies to people that already own the game as it's not worth much more if any than what I paid for it as I've seen prices on third party websites for hundreds of dollars for the Amazing Spider-man one and two and both are hard to get but not worth very much.

The side quests are stupid and make you go out of your way for basically no reason and very little xp and they are repetitive as can be. But the main story missions are decent and the game looks okay on a high end pc considering it's from 2012 or so, i think? The combat is okay as well but the web slinging and swinging around in the city is actually one of the weaker parts of the game surprisingly.

I'd give this game a solid 6 but nothing more and that's being generous because I love Marvel and Spider-man especially and don't want to buy a PS5 or support Sony in any way so it is what it is...

Yeah i agree, it's an alright game, but the other spider games are obviously way better like Spider Man PS4 / Spider man miles morales PS5.. or even some classics like Spider man web of the shadows or shattered dimensions (my personal favourite) because it's got a lot of personality and unique art style.

i played the new ps5 Spider-man and it is great, but what Sony did to screw over everyone else doesn't sit well with me so I won't be buying any Sony products etc. They ruined the Avengers game for everyone not on PlayStation and killed the chances that other platforms see Spider-man again for several years to come which i think really sucks especially since Spider-man is my favorite Marvel character and I'm sure this goes for many other people as well... I have Shattered dimensions and web of shadows on xbox 360 and they are decent as well, i missed buying them on Steam before they were delisted and the resell prices are ridiculous as I would never pay hundreds of dollars for any game. The only Marvel games I don't have on any platform that I'm really upset about is when they re-released Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1 and 2 on Xbox One as I missed grabbing them and only have the xbox 360 editions which are okay but I'm worried about that as Microsoft has been killing off a lot of 360 functionality as well, especially for games that aren't backwards compatible like Ultimate Alliance 1 and 2 and I love those games so, yeah it's killing me that I don't have the newer versions, but again the resale prices for those games are ridiculous as well...

Ye blame activision…. They had this and the bond license until it expired the combat in asm 1 was annoying
