Good game, fun to play... graphics need a full revamp tho (it's the same as it was when it launched, almost 20 years ago).

I wish I would have tried this years ago. It's wonderful. I would have loved a 'lifetime' account.

If you want cutting edge game tech this is not for you. But if you are into the lore of Middle Earth, and love to grind to gain great in game benefits, and don't mind a few intrusive pitches to sell you some stuff, then I suspect you may like this game.
There are issues with lag at times, but the community on my server (Gladden) is mostly helpful. I played it years ago and came back and am wildly impressed at how it has survived as a smaller MMO as others have come and gone. I am happy I did.

G.O.A.T behind vanilla WoW

It is good if you know what you are getting into.
An old school Classic WoW like game, that is about the journey, slow leveling, enjoying the world and READING a lot.
As a matter of fact you better off if you read or is in the process of reading the books.
Don't rush it, travel around, find your fun, so it does not play like the regular fast level to endgame.
You can totally do that, but you will be missing the point, it is about the journey.

Main problem is spending money into, since the company has terrible account practices, keep it free to play as much as you can or just spend money if you don't care if your account get compromised, since there's no secondary auth method.
Kinda insane in this day and age since people can have accounts that they spent thousands over the years.

I wanted to invest into the account, but until that changes and I have a degree of security for account recovery I won't.
Does not mean that I can't enjoy the world and gameplay as a free player and get ingame currency for the p2w store.
Can probably grind and get a few expansions just playing the game.
Good thing that "winning" in this game is having fun, so the p2w, p4convience/content is ok.

So yeah it is a good cool old style game, with issues, a recommend for lore fans, and people that are ok with alt/tab combat looking for a very slow burn mmo to play with no rush over a long time

A true adaptation of the books. The Shire is such a joy to explore especially around midsummer and yuletide. Getting darker and more dangerous the more you adventure away. Recommended

Game doesn't work from Steam so remove it as an option.
