Starting a new game
I cannot find how to start a new game map on steam. WWW has ways for the phone app but not pc. I got far enough on my main castle island that I decided I do not like it. So, how to restart. I tried uninstall and reinstall but previous map played loads. Any help?

On the PC, to completely wipe your progress in the game and start over (which will force you to redo the tutorial again, btw) you wuold delete TripleTownData.dat and TripleTownData_Backup.dat from your TT application folder. Same two files on the Mac I think.

OK sounds right. Problem is I have Windows8 and finding the file is not going well. Sorry, any help? :p

Right clicking on the game in my Steam library, selecting properties, and it shows no local filess? Search TT Triple Triple town and Tripletown in windows shows no files. Bummer

TripleTownData_Backup.dat searched this and found nothing also. Sorry sounds newbie but I know this is an altered phone app and also I PAID STEAM for it to work and load tha files bascically onto my pc. I now own a copy of the game and should bea able to restart it,c reate new files or users playing and so non. This needs to be fixed please. Also I have other games that I have paid for through Steam that do not work at all and I will get to that when I have time.

Thank you very much, that worked! OK, I'm sure there were more people wondering about this subject. Sorry for the little rant about non-working games though, I'll figure it out with Steams help. Thx again!

And on Mac?
In all honesty, fun game, but the start island is too small and the expansions way too expensive. Probably still aimed too much at FB.

on mac it is a bit harder to go in. you need to go into the tripletown.app/Contents/Resources/
not sure if you can right click the .app and go into the folder.

if you can't, go into terminal, do a "cd tripletown.app" then "open -R Contents".

not on my mac, so i can't tell you if it work.
does deleting those two files erase all your game achievements/progress?

Not the Steam achievements. Those are tied to your account, not your local files.
rgr that thanks. i had no clue what i was doing at first with capital city and it took me a couple turns to realize oh wait, this works just like the tiles in the actual game lol so i was all messed up and clustered...thanks

May I just say that I think it's dumb that we can't just have more than 1 game at a time.
i just wish you would get coins awarded at a higher rate...i play a LOT and regularly get my thing to settlement (haven't reached village yet though :-/) and then i have to spend TWELVE HUNDRED COINS just to get a crane to reposition stuff...can't you decrease the price of the coins or reward us more? lol

I found the: steam folder / steamapps/ common/TripleTown...there are no .data files in there....has something changed? I want to start a new game, too....HOW??
WinKey-R
cmd <ENTER>
dir/s/p \TripleTownData.dat <ENTER>
WinKey-E for Windows Explorer, browse to the same path, delete the mentioned files or back them up to a backup directory as a "savegame file" effectively... you can of course do this last step on the command prompt.
