Is this even used anymore?
I just bought the game, and wanted to know if they even use the beta client anymore. I read it's for testing updates, but do they even update the game at this point?
oh, and how's the multiplayer?

Their still is active community using discord as a sort of hub to find games and talk.

Not really, Skullgirls on PC is basically done and over with, and there's nothing wrong with that, this is more of a remnant of a time when it did have a use for beta testing. The bigger focus is on Skullgirls for mobile now.
