Maybe I would recommend other turn based RPG if you don't care about the story? Game has a lot of cutscenes and for me personally they are a huge part of the enjoyment. Or if you like open world modern city games with more gameplay and less cutscenes you can try Watch Dogs 1 or 2, just saying :-D

Minigames, gameplay, sidequests, substories, it's really really fun!

Yeah, just skip. There's a lot of dropped plot points, out of character moments and teases that never go anywhere so you aren't missing much. Plenty of fun things to do in gameplay though.

I enjoy just walking around with my party and taking in the sights.
