really nice story with simple art style, but this game sometime feels more like a lesson or presentasion then a game, If you want to know more about depression or just learn a simple story for an hour or so then this game is for you

First, the elephant in the room, for which I'll "defend" this game against some of the other reviews: yeah, the MC sees a turning point in her life ("spoilers": she's depressed) after getting invited to a Christian church and becoming a member. But I think it's rather clear by context that the main thing is that she found community there, which was what actually led her to seek help. This is not an universal experience, and the game makes it clear from the get go that it just wishes to represent one case (I don't know how autobiographical this game might be). It is a bit unorthodox how for that section the game lets you browse the entire New Testament, but even during that portion the MC comments how she perceives the sermons through her own filter so it never felt like the game was preaching to the player.

Anyways, as a whole... ehhhh. I know a game being dull, somewhat repetitive at times, and frustrating is all part of getting one into the mindset of a protagonist with depression, but I do think a better balance could be achieved. I get there's an indie cliche about quirky games which have rather tacked on "this is a metaphor for mental illness" revelations, but those exist because other games have managed to do that well by having the right balance of ludonarrative consonance and dissonance. Particularly, I do think you need to be "hooked" in some way initially before gameplay can be used to get a point across by not being "fun". Here at various points you just end up angry at the game itself for wasting your time rather than getting into the protagonist's mindset.

In other terms, I am not really sure at whom this game is aimed. People with depression or at least those who knowingly live with someone experiencing it already know it relatively well, while people with wrong ideas about the illness are not likely to be hooked on this to learn from it.

I say all of this harshly, but the game wasn't horrible. There's a few twists to the narrative and the first one caught me completely unguarded. There's some chapter where the minigame used feels genuinely creative and which get the point across well (not always with the best execution gameplay-wise, but that can be forgiven when the balance is right).
