Loving the game..but spawns...suck
so im at the part where there is the bridges in the canyon just after meeting the merchant.
hilariously enough you can just trigger the enemies and run into the little house with the locked door(get in thru the window) and guard that windows with your life....just dont stand to close and let the dynamite guys deal with the rest XD
but when the music stopped i came out my hidey hole looked around, saw ZERO enemies and started to move on, only for dynamite to come flying from behind me..i was like wtf? so i reloaded to see if he was there(on the roof of the very house i was hiding on)...and HE WAS NOT! so i took a few steps and turned around, and repeated this until BAMN! he was on the roof.
so i looked into is and iv gotten some conflicting info, some say that there is no "spawning" and all enemies are already in the area and come after yo...but this is false, just look at roof guy, or the 3 that come from the way i came...
so enemies do spawn..ok i can deal with that, but spawning right behind me? in a place i cant even get to? that's another thing
like i saw a video of another guy saying a guys spawned behind him like 2 feet away, and everyone was telling him "no he was in the door way you can even see him!"
but a frame by frame proves that no, no he was not, not only was there NO doorway it was a dead end, but he was not there before, my guy even checks.
but what he did miss was the super suck spawns...from what i can tell the game treats any place not fully on screen as a spawn location, so when he checked and looked away the game spawned a guy, at the far end of a dead end as soon as he looked away....and
well that sucks

just want to add to this, i used the scope to head shot a guy, when leon did the animation for pulling the bolt and re aiming down the scope another guy spawned right in front of me, he literately spawned in the black rim while scoped XD

Every RE game spawns in enemies at set locations.

This isn't new. It's why you can prevent zombies from coming in by blocking single windows in a hallway with multiple breakable windows in RE2 remake.

Nothing new.
again you guys seem to be missing what i posted...the guy spawned 2 feet in front of me the moment i "couldn't see that area" due to using my scope XD
like around the corner or behind a blind, yeah that's fine, or thru a door i came in thru...
but right in front of my face? thats just funny
Yes, they do spawn from out of thin air. It's just that usually the game hides the spawn locations around corners or from the top of structures. However, in a few specific cases (that house, one of the castle battles), if you keep killing enemies too fast and turning the camera around, you can see them teleport in.
never happened to me a thing like that... but good to know... yeah sometimes i have the feeling that some enemies respawn, in some sections i encountered this...
Oh man, it has been a while since I played, but are you referring to the series of broken up wooden bridges on the side of the mountain and has one shack about halfway across?

The segment where you have to leap across a few gaps in the broken up parts of the bridge and you either fight or run across? Is that the section you are referencing?

I think he meant that part where you have to get the hexagonal emblem, then go to the top and turn a wheel to reopen the gate. It's called "dynamite valley" by almost everyone.
They don't "spawn"... they come in the area from the sides. You can see new enemies arriving in the area. They are not magically spawned.

If you look on the corners of this area, you see multiple walkways and lanes you can't go through. They all come from those and jump down into this valley.
They are magically spawned, you can look up on youtube "re4 remake teleport" and you'll see a few cases. Like you said, usually the spawn points are hidden away behind some corner or other scenery, but in some cases the areas are so open that they couldn't hide some of them away.

There are scripted teleports, like Dr. Salvador during the village fight (he can teleport to destroy that awning and also when you open the door to one of the houses), but others are just cases where the developers didn't think that someone would actually be looking at the spawn points when they activated.

There are other gameplay mechanics that are poorly understood, like enemies catching up (they run much faster when you're not looking at them) or Leon's melee attacks becoming stronger as the story progresses (his kick is two times stronger by Chapter 13). Most of those complaints are probably from players of the original game that still remember how it was back then. I mean, enemies still spawned out of thin air back then, but it was a little different.

There is nothing wrong with enemies spawning off screen, as long as they jump into the arena from a place you can't go, so it look like reinforcements arriving. Which it is the intention. I'm sure you can catch a glimpse at some point of enemies appearing, but you probably need to be looking for it. For the most part, it feels organic and natural.

The original did this too. Most shooters do since the 2000s.
It definitely was in the original. I remember in the water room fight there was a room down the stairs where you could funnel enemies into - if you took too long in there, enemies would spawn behind you.

yeah for the most part its looks totally normal, like when you fight those two blind guys in one room, the enemies spawn on the balconies then drop down, even if those balconies have no way to get up there for player or enemy as thee is no stairs or ladders at all XD
there are a couple spots here the only way they got thee is if they spawned there kinda thing
but overall the enemies spawning in is mostly smooth with some hiccups or "doom 3 closet demon" type thing going on, and for clarity im NOT complaining, most of them are more funny then anything. like the guy who spawned right in my face...yeah he died real fast, like bro you just watched me reload my rifle then show up?
my only REAL complaint is knife durability....cuz a battle ready combat knife can survive 50 years of use...but Leons knife? broke after stabbing one guy...but again i know why they did that, cuz fully upgraded knife is like playing on baby mode a couple stabs and a kick and most enemies die.
and yeah i noticed that Leon has super legs and his kicks could kill GOD

You played previous RE titles, right?

Shouldn't be a surprise what Capcom allows characters to do with melee attacks.
