Completed Professional with no Bonus weapons but no Achievements.
Went from Normal into a Professional run. Did the whole thing without using any bonus weapons, however, the typewriter was in my stash from me buying it in the content shop. Never touched it, left it alone. Finished with an A rank.

Anyone know if you need to complete it on a fresh run only? I heard new game+ is fine? The only "bonus" thing I used was costumes (leon's mafia set + ashley's knight set that I got from a separate save where I bought the infinite rocket launcher)

Can't get S Rank on NG+ pretty sure.

and if you want S+ then you need a new save and you cant save more then 15 times

You can definitely get S rank, but not S+. The unlock requirements are "no bonus weapons". From what I can find online, you can't do it on a NG+

If you mean the handcannon unlock, you need to do a fresh file starting on professional, no NG+ at all, but you can take as much time as you want as long as you don't use bonus weapons.

If you mean for S+, then like mentioned above, it can't be NG+ and it has to be sub 5 hours and 30 minutes, and less than 15 total saves.

I have the same problem: I've just completed a professional game without using any bouns weapon (and the panel in the challenges confirmed that the number was 0 just before the last watercraft run), but I didn't get the achievement. Why? I'm quite disappointed as I wasted a lot of time and effort for nothing.

Focusing on the main objectives to progress to the next chapter and nothing else. And being familiar with everything to know quickly where you need to go and quickly know what you need to do including solving puzzles quickly (practice)
