I finally decided to sit down and beat this game after owning it for 12 years. It's genuinely funny, a hell of a lot of fun to play, and its packed with secrets and features. Great little game.

I bought it for the aesthetic, I wouldn't buy it for the story - It's a whole lot of "go to place" fetch missions that blend together.
In a way, it's a (psychotic) love letter to both the top down GTA games and the pop culture of the time when the NES reigned superior. Anything is fair game. Bill & Ted, the Ninja Turtles, Mario, BTTF, the A-Team, et cetera. Though honestly sometimes the references get too old quick 'cause it'll hit you with them rapid fire.

In terms of the gameplay loop it really leans heavily into the "rampage the pedestrians" aspect of the classic GTA games.
