It's just this particular interraction came out of nowhere from the character you expect the least.

Is this definitely not a miscommunication joke, cause that's a pretty classic bit of one character talking about sex euphemistically and the other person not knowing what sex is

Let's just say that both this and refrain have a similar story telling.
They start as light hearted stories where you are helping other people and such, but the further you go the more uncomfortable topics come up.
And no, it's not just vague eupgemisms, there are many parts that are completely messed up.

I'm not going to spoil it for those that want to experience it themselves, because it's a pretty unique experience, but it is not something shown with detailed images so you don't need to be afraid of gore or not-safe-for-work stuff being shown all over the place for example.

Yeah Refrain started with Dronya chucking a sheep Luca liked down a well to its death. I haven't finished Galleria yet but Refrain kind of started a bit dark then got really, really messed up by the end. Look forward to galleria being the same, but I'm still at the point where it is suitable for toddlers its so happy go lucky!

As for this scene It is just flavor text meant to emphasize how ditzy Eureka is. I don't think it is meant as a joke per se. Either way it doesn't bug me at all

Now that I have the enitre context, I think this scene was actually handled pretty well. Most of the characters in this game are defined by their flaws and this scene highlights the self destructive nature of her need to please others. It's gross and uncomfortable, but I think that's the point.

Galleria handled those uncomfortable topics better than Refrain in my opinion, but a part of that should be attributed to the translation, Refrain suffered from self-sensorship in a few places during the translation sadly.
