Patch Notes - October 16, 2024

Happy Patchtober, everyone! The chill in the air, the changing colors of the trees, your neighbors putting patchnotes in your mailbox. It truly is the best time of the year. Dicefolk is celebrating Patchtober the only way we know how: sharing a glorious set of patch notes with you. So put on your Patchtober costume, gather round the campfire, and let's talk changes.

Patch Notes (1.2.13 - October 16, 2024)

Fixed iridescent Somnilem description & effect
Fixed Marble Tower effect
Fixed special run “Good Defense is Best Offense” localization
Changed special run “Geared Up” last boss equipped item as previous wasn’t triggering properly
Fixed Furodel and iridescent Furodel effect trigger
Fixed Iron Jaw localization typo
Memory Chip item now decreases STR instead of INT to prevent an exploit
Fixed Caractal effect not triggering consistently

thinking about pickign up dicefolks and the new DLC that just came out but

how's combat? How's the difficulty? How's the taming? How's the controls? and hows the game over all ?

Great Game! But...

When you get some experience with the game, early on you realize if you are going to win the run or not. The early game is sooooo luck dependent. Did you get a good chimera? y/n Did you get any combo equipment? y/n Can you scale an attribute (str/int) to deal damage? y/n It just feels like if you get the "wrong" mix, it's over. Even if it takes you 3 acts to actually die. Consumables assist, sure; but if you lack the base foundation of anything good, the run is sunk and there's not much you can do. -S...

Problem with Rarespecimens achievement

Hello, i have a problem with the Rarespecimens achievement (Reach Salem's door with a team made of iridescent chimeras only.). I reached Salem's door with a full team of iridescent chimeras, but the achievement did not unlock. I also defeated the final boss, but the achievement did still not unlock....

Marble tower is very buggy

I've used this item in a few runs now. It's been consistently buggy on each run. It triggers just fine upon being attacked, but it also just triggers randomly for seemingly no reason. I've had it trigger both at the end of the turn and upon activation, multiple times, even though the chimera was not attacked....

what is it 6? or 5? i dont wana buy tempt dice i think im at the max at 5? Game could use a lil tlc in the description department. show some % on heals ;P bare min.

It's hard to make a dice-centric roguelike work and feel nice, but Dicefolk pulls it off. Some novel combat mechanics, including the ability to choose the order and timing of enemy action, make for a fun and interesting title.
