Does the game have an auto save feature or how can I manually save my progress?

Thanks to whoever awarded me free Steam points. xD Are the developers obsessed with the color purple? Every screenshot is like that. Is the whole game purple? Does it have any stages or areas that aren't purple? Is this the texture of objects or post-processing?
