However I am having some issues with selected text not behaving well with the D-pad.
pressing up and down causes the menu to become out of sync with the selected text.
The highlighted text cannot be seen if it travels out of bounds of the text box, and the text box does not scroll enough to keep up with it.
I am hoping you can recreate the issue by using a plug in controller for PC but if there is something else you would like me to test please let me know.
The 3 options are '[Try and free her]', '[Leave her in the basement]', '[Slay the Princess]'.
*Edit*
It does do the correct option if you click it
I tried recording the screen or taking screenshots, but recording seems to fail for whatever reason, and I'm unable to screenshot the issue
Furthermore, the issue only shows up when the game renderer is set to Auto (which defaults to OGL for me), manually setting ANGLE2 seems to resolve it
I'll have to wait until it gets fixed, I guess. :(
I understand that you're locking off paths (in this case leading to the Tower route), though there's no reason why you can't warn her at least once before The Narrator seizes control (blotting out the resist option instead); her dialog and the artwork matches your intentions much more closely that way.
It's also nice not being forced to stab her in the back, even if she is just as hostile going into the Tower route.
I'm not sure if the same holds for Damsel->Witch (though it's nice that if you can warn her, she references the Damsel before she tears the player apart).
Reasonable — change implemented in the dev build; will go live with the eventual release of the Pristine Cut :)
