Low FPS
I've been wanting to play Alice myself for many years now and I finally got the chance! I opened the game and i tried to play but it's sxtremely buggy and the frames are super low-making Alice unplayable. I've seen posts helping out and suggesting solutions to the low fps problem but I can't seem to make it work. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or if there's some other things I could try to fix the issue :(

Does the framerate drop in specific situations, like when you're in combat, or is it always low?

It's always low! I haven't even managed to get out of the first building in the game. I watched the first ever cutscene (which was also kind of laggy at times but nothing serious). I can walk around the game but it lags a bit. The worst part is when I try to look around using my mouse. The frames then drop dramatically making Alice completely unplayable.

What about your graphics card? If you only have an integrated gpu that could be the problem since they're not really made to run games; if you have a decent dedicated gpu installed then it could be your system is set to use the integrated one for 3d applications instead

Just started the game, got fps issue too.

In game settings : put PhyX to low (or huge drops during fight)

For more fps, look for AliceEngine.ini in my documents...
Look for "framerate" keyword and put "60" as min and max

If subtitles are too small :
SubtitleFontName=EngineFonts.LargeFont
LoadingTextFontName=EngineFonts.LargeFont

Hmm, i think i get what you mean. I tried to run the game on my laptop and it weirdly works just fine. I played a little to test it out and so far so good ! Thank you dearly for your help! :)

Thank you! I've done the PhyX thing and also the whole AliceEngine.ini framerate part and it still doesn't work though. I managed to run the game on my laptop which is surely a good one, but definitely nothing like my PC which is optimized. And the funny part is that my PC cannot run Alice even after changing all these settings lol. Thank you for replying, it's deeply appreciated !!
