F.Y.I. This Is 'Sherlock Holmes: Chapter Two'.
Apparently this will have very little in common with the original. Instead they are using the open world gameplay from 'Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One' and heavily altering the story to make it a sequel to that game. The main story will also apparently be much longer than the original and it will have side missions like Chapter One.

They said that the rewrite is significant too, so this is more or less a brand new game from scratch using The Awakened as a loose inspiration.

Just putting this out there so people don't get misled into thinking this is just a remake or a remaster of an old game. It's gonna be almost entirely different from the original according to what the developers have been saying.

It would have to be, otherwise the reveal of Moriarty being alive at the Swiss asylum, which directly led to Testament of Sherlock Holmes, which led directly to The Devil's Daughter, would make zero sense since the events in the original stories by Doyle haven't happened yet.

They already confirmed that this is a massive rewrite, they are changing most of the story to make it fit as a sequel to Chapter One. Look it up, the developers confirmed it.

Yeah, that's exactly what I wondered about, given that the Sherlock in this is the one starting out on his career so he hasn't encountered certain people yet. So who is going to be in the Swiss asylum, or will that just be general spookiness but nobody we know?

I'm guessing it will also follow the "no real wrong answer" element to the cases from Chapter One as well?

That was actually one of the kickstarter rewards!

Backers who donated through certain tiers would have characters modeled after them in the cells of the asylum, complete with an engraved name on the cell door.

so there will be a continuation of Sherlock Holmes Chapter One? I'm really hoping for a second part, but I haven't found any information about it. share some information if you don't mind: how did you find out about the continuation? who is the developer? when is the approximate release?

The Awakening remake IS the sequel to Chapter One. Like I said, they altered the story so it takes place after CH1.
