as of this time 1/14/23 technically not during gameplay but it is hinted at the end they do.

No the monster only appears as like a "ooo somethings gonna happen soon and its gonna stall my progress ooo" kinda thing like when it appears before the elevator knocking bit.

At the end, the guy your playing as gets transported to level run for your life (hinted by the siren sound) and probably gets mowed down by entities so technically yes, monsters do kill you in this game.
