Not possible to play solo with multiple characters. This should be basic thing for the board games.

The only good thing about this game is the general ambiance sound design - everything else about it is a tremendous letdown.

The first thing is literally the first thing - the tutorial is terribly laid out, explained, and nonsensical. Multiple misspellings, wrong syntax, and half-explained or completely unexplained mechanics. Mix this with a terrible overlay game UI that gives you half the information you need to understand whatever the hell is going in in the game and you get the PC version of Nemesis.

Once you get 'through' the tutorial you'll be presented with a mini-campaign. And what a mini-campaign it is. You're left to...walk around the map with no real sense how to accomplish whatever you need. Find a janitor - alright, you found him. Now watch him go through the same weird animation over and over again that you can't skip through as he spends five minutes telling you the door is shut and to move through a vent. Go through the vent. The door is locked from the other side - remove the door lock! Now waste an action on that because you don't have the code for it. Walk to the next room trying to find a code. Nope, no code, but you hear a cat meowing? But there's no cat, and you have to save the cat..that you never saw? Oh look, a computer terminal - maybe the code is on that! But the computer terminal needs a password. That you don't have and don't know where to get.

It's at this point in time you're tired of the game having contempt for you and your time. Exit Nemesis and play...basically anything else.

One of the worst boardgame to PC port conversions on steam. Just play Gloomhaven instead.
