Ditto. I've been enjoying all of these, warts and all.

Im surprised by the reactions on this one I loved them all except for Part 4, I find this one way better than Part 4

I hope they'll continue, but I can also see why they wouldn't - as they said, their list of things to live up to continues to grow. This was my first Dread X so I was able to see each game as it was, but almost every other reviewer I see keeps comparing it to past installments. 'Not as good as before' or 'this game is just a rip-off of X prior game', so on and so forth.

It must get super tiring to have all your new projects continuously leashed to your old ones. People really need to work on viewing the collection on its own merits. It's not a beloved game series going downhill... it's a compendium of vastly varying quality, where every game in it is viewed a different way. Of course you're going to like more or less games than the last installment because there's SO many different ones with entirely new things each time.

I'm in the same boat. The charm of the Dread X Collections are that they're short little experiences that you can bust through. Sometimes bugs can ruin the small experience you can get from a game (I.E. me and Rotten Stigma) but the charm is that these indie devs create experiences in such a short time. One of the devs chatted with me and told me they had only 10 days to develop something for 2 (which is my favorite DxC to date). I think the biggest issue comes from the themes. When you played 2, you had the idea that all the themes felt lovecraftian in nature. After that, I struggled to find out what themes they were going off of beside the push of first person shooters for The Hunt. Now playing 5, I keep getting confused as to what theme was suppose to be set. Getting a bunch of games together with a common theme is what I loved about it, now it just kinda feels like they just want devs to create a short horror game. I really do appreciate the work put into the games, but I also do hope the criticism of forcing a theme is taken into consideration.

back in June when i was looking at all the negative reviews one of the developers commented on one saying that due to some negative fed back they might not do another one. I hope they change their mind.

well if they don't do a 6 one because of bad reviews they are sensitive and should look for rates % instead. Part 5 has like 2 games that i didn't enjoyed(personal opinion) and the rest is by far superior than any game in 1,2,3, part 3 was a mess for me and i liked by far less than half of the games. In my vision both part 4 and 5 were really good, Hope they will change their mind and at least do one more collection

for me best collection was:
Dread X Collection 2
Dread X Collection 5
Dread X Collection 1
Dread X Collection 3
and the weakest Dread X Collection 4 The Hunt...
So yes please make the other one :)

Yes please keep making these. These remind me of the older 90's anthology horror movies like Creepshow. These games have also caused lots of devs on itch to make ps1 horror games. Love these.

I'd like to see part 6 too! For me, 2 was the best, followed by 4.

I'd also love to see a part 6. IMO the series is very far from "going downhill", two of my favorite Dread X games of all time are from 5. The problem is that people tend to only remember the best games of each collection and compare every game in each new collection to only the greats, forgetting that -every- collection has always been a wild mix of quality.

We do need part 6.

Over a year without another collection, dont think it will happen.
