Is the volume low for everybody?
This is the only game I can crank the in-game volume up all the way and still have to turn up my actual speaker volume dial. Then I forget to turn it down and get blasted next time my PC makes a sound.

The game isn't quite. If you run the game in anything other then stereo with your pc audio set to stereo the sound mixing is broken beyond belief. Gun audio plays in the back speakers...... so there's that.

Yes it is quiet.
And if you try to use some kind of surround sound with reciever, soundbar or headphones - it becomes outright broken.

It's a shame. The sound design in this game is otherwise incredible.

People say sound is OK on PS5.. overall i consider this PC port very mediocre. Some things just do not work.

hmm .. wonder if it's a DirectX (DirectSound) issue?

It's baffling because their other port - Horizon Forbidden West, actually does not have any sound issues at all. It even picks up Dolby Atmos if you choose Spatial Sound setting.
What exactly stopped them from fixing the sound in Ratchet? I honestly have no idea.

No issue here. Seems normal and didn't need to touch sliders.
Onboard sound with creative speakers. Win10pro
