If using Win 10, are you on latest public build? Not sure if this is the reason, but it doesnt hurt to make sure you are on this build.

November 12, 2024—KB5046613.
[Some games fail to start] Fixed: Some games do not start or stop responding after you install KB5044384. This occurs because some games use a third-party DRM component that is not compatible with that update. This update makes changes to support those games while the game developers address the DRM issue.

What resolution are you playing at? Tried lowering the game graphic settings?

What is your CPU cooler and PSU?

If on Win 11, did you use the upgrade process from Win 10?

Are you OC GPU or CPU?

Are you using an SSD, HDD, or NVMe?

Is game installed on same drive as OS?

Here is a list of things you can try. May seem like a lot but each one only takes a couple of minutes to do.

See if any logs were reported at time of crashes. Open event viewer app. Go to windows logs>application and see if a report has been generated at date and time of event. Than look for a general tab towards the bottom. It should list faulting module name and path. It should help give an idea what is causing the crashes. If a report was made that is.

Try a clean boot. A clean boot will remove any potential conflicts with other software running in background. So disable all non essential services, programs and tasks from starting with PC. So use services (services app or system configuration app), tasks (task scheduler app, select task scheduler library), and startup items (task manager) to disable them.

Check all 3 areas. If anyone is enabled that software will run and could be causing conflicts with the game. This will also help free up system resources in general. The last person I helped said they had Razer software running causing issues with this game. https://gtm.you1.cn/app/1888930/discussions/0/4632609289965519460/#c7004880943562452630

Try updating your GPU driver to latest release or reinstall if already on latest version. Before you install run DDU to remove the driver first.

Here is link for DDU. Make sure to read/follow guide. Its in the link. https://www.wagnardsoft.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=5116

Running DDU will remove previous driver/s completely and ensure a clean install. Like its being done for the first time on a newly installed OS. Just note that all NVIDIA control panel (app)/monitor settings will be reset and whenever you update the display driver the shaders will recompile for this game and others.

If you got a Windows update. Make sure it is on latest public build. No insider, preview, or optional updates.

Disable windows game mode, game bar, and game captures.

If you use an anti-virus, windows security, or data protection. Make exceptions to your game folders. This way it disables the scans and doesnt conflict with your games starting up and take away system resources as you are playing. Which may be causing slowdowns as well.

Make sure your motherboard's BIOS is up to date. If an update is available. Make sure to default settings before updating. Once update is done. Set the correct XMP profile if supported.

You can also do an SFC (system file checker) scan. Open command prompt and type this:

sfc /scannow

It will scan and repair system files. Run it twice.

Try those suggestions. If it doesnt help let us know.
We are very fortunate to have someone live Animal_Planet taking the time to help others.

I hope he does not lose that spirit.

OP, take notes and do as he says.
