- Go to your AC6 files.
- Delete or move "start_protected_game.exe"
- Copy and then rename "armoredcore6.exe" to "start_protected_game.exe"
You won't be able to go online, but who gives a damn? Better performance without EAC ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with things too.
- Right click the game in your library, hover over Manage, click "Browse local files", then open the Game folder.
- Scroll down and look for "start_protected_game.exe" then change the extension from *.exe to *.old.
- Right click armoredcore6.exe, copy, paste, then rename the new copy file "start_protected_game.exe".
This should automatically kick you into Offline Mode. Just note that until EAC addresses the issue, you won't be able to download any custom AC codes.
Hope this helps!
(Been just running around and hunting down posts with similar issues with EAC.)
Win 11. Turned off memory integrity and it works now.
It's also scary.
BTW, 24H2 has broken alot of games & programs.
For me 24H2 caused alot BSOD, random freezes, the list goes on. Verified as well on 2nd gaming rig. [23H2 can still update security & virus definitions]
Core Isolation/Memory Integrity =ON (23H2)
Of course YMMV...
OP could possibly be on Win11 version 24H2?
...23H2 EOL is either this upcoming October or November....
Vanilla AC6 is running awesome. Have not had to mess/screw with EAC or any AC6 files...
