Miner Rogue

An open-world crafting roguelike voxel based where everything is destructible and randomly generated, daylight is for exploring, mining rare minerals, forging powerful weapons, and building your fortress. As the sun sets, monsters emerge to attack your base.

Major Content Update

Patch notes :
-New skill menu with skill points to spend on level up
-New NPC dialog
-New Knight enemy
-Added fall damage
-Added voxel based path finding for every enemy (they don't just run straight for you they avoid holes and obstacles)
-Added unique sounds to every enemy
-The big bat has a second phase
-You now start the game with a class based hood and cape
-The player is now invincible during the loading screen
-Wolves are more wild and fast
-Enemy's vertical motion is more smooth when going up and down voxels
-Added houses, ruins and towers with random chest at the surface (you can repair and defend them)
-You can destroy voxels in the main menu
-Added button sfx and animation in the main menu
-Player is invisible only with a pickaxe in hand
-Added an intro cinematic to introduce lore
-Added a charged attack and air attacks with shortsword
-Added start running animation + stop running animation
-Fixed loud sfx when loading your world on a loaded save
-Heat radius of torches and campires increased
-The logo is more mature
-Red mushrooms are easier to pick up on the ground
-Impossible to spawn underground anymore
-The iron axe gives more wood
-You can shift click to auto equip armor or quick stack into chests
-Longer tutorial to really get you into the game
-Wishlist buttons added everywhere
-Suspicious looking organ is now craftable
-Cyclope Bats drop bat wings
-Added cheatcodes
-Added a thx for playing screen
-Torch vfx is less intense in your hands
-Crystal hearts and Mana mushrooms are now underground
-Enemyies and bosses get stronger every day
-You now burn when stepping n magma stone and bedrock
-Colors are less saturated and the ambient occlusion is more precise
-Added lens flares to the sun and the moon
-Cannot craft while in a chest anymore
-Trees have better lighting at night
-You can double jump with max agility
-You now gain max health from leveling up vitality
-The world is 3 blocks deeper
-You don't slide on the ground when you stop moving anymore unless you have momentum
-Added a leaning motion to the characters when you turn fast while moving
-Mining and chopping down trees gives xp
-Added a compass to know where is your base
-You can now directly look 90 degrees upwards (was locked at 60 before)
-You now start with a wooden pickaxe when spawning for the first time
-You can't waste you potions when you are at full health or full mana anymore
-Chunks of dirt randomly spawn underground
-Object batching and shadow maps (optimisation)
-Removed random objects floating in the void or sticking to bedrock (optimisation)
-Fixed isolated single block of air in caves (optimisation)
-Enemies you can't see are not animated anymore (optimisation)
-New items : Iron daggers, fire arrows, Bat wings
-Worm boss removed from the demo
-Player automatically equips a torch at night or in a cave
-Added Screenspace sun rays
-Minimap got reworked

Miner Rogue Demo Update v0.2.1

Here are the patch notes :

added dlss + fsr (optional)
volumetric fog can be remove in the settings
the map is now fixed (less fog on the map + cave map is working)
recipe book progress now saves with your character
don't need to do the tutorial every time you load a world
caves are a bit more smooth
voxels are more shaped like cubes and less smooth
fixed weird character rotation when in the character creation menu
you stop aiming when you put the bow away
you can now cancel the landing animation with an attack
you are not forced to walk durring melee attacking now (new animation sets)
plant loot don't spawn in the ground anymore
added critical damage to some of weapons
fixed that some items did not notify you when you picked them up
player feet are less likely to go in the ground during an animation
you now walk slower but your can sprint (you automaticly sprinted all the time before)
the worm boss now growls before attacking to give you time to react
bosses and enemys don't destroy trees anymore
(it was weird and laggy)
golems dont pop in and out of render when you baerly see them
big trees don't fly and roll around when you cut them
dragonners dispawn at day time
added rain
ambient sounds fade off if you are in your house or deep in a cave
hunger value rounded when eating
the building music has a chance to start playing when you start building
added a chat to inform the player about evil presences
big bat can now spawn naturaly
the character becomes invisible when the camera is too close making it easier to mine in the caves
added a cave music
less likely to spawn underground when creating a world
doging is a lot less forgiving
don't stay locked in walking speed after respawn when dying during drinking a potion
the campfire now makes a looping fire sfx
added a few first person animations (work in progress)
new difficulty settings (Classic, Expert and Master)

Here are the patch notes :

You can now respawn
You can save your world and your character
Hardcore difficulty added
The nights are not pitch black
Torches emit more light
Iron voxels are more obvious and more common
Stone structures are now invincible
You can break crystal hearts with most weapons
The terrain visual style is back to a more voxel look
Hunger is removed until more food is added to the game
Map is not zoomed all the way in when you open it
Health potions only require 2 mushrooms
Campfires don't require stone
Freezing is less deadly
You passively regenerate a small amount of health over time
Bushes spawn rate is now +300%
All the tree models got reworked
The fog is more colored and more dense
The digging speed is 50% slower (it was a bug)
Added the option to lower the render distance
You can't accidentally mine your house when clicking in your inventory with a pickaxe in your hand
Magma voxels now give magma stone instead of dirt (unlocking the Fire staff)
Switching out of your hammer closes the build menu
Can't spawn infinite minions by spamming the staff
Worm boss invocators now have 200 hp instead of 100 hp
Big health potions are twice as cheap to craft
Added a patch notes button 😄

Cool concept buuuuut.... it broken

I really want to see more if this game demo but sadly ive reached a bug that has pretty much bricked me. i got to the part in the tutorial where it tells me i need to craft an axe in my inventory but i genuinely cant. there's no prompt for crafting and ive hit every button on the keyboard, nothing happens. also i cant open the skill tree either. (yes i had the materials). cant wait to see more but it def needs some more fixes...

Time of day speed

Game is great, but just after i get through the guide to collect wood to and make a axe its dark and i got barely enough time to make a home to not freeze and an annoying bat breaks in and kills me cause i haven't made enough torches to see wth im doing. Wish i could pause the time of day so i can farm more before dying and loosing all my progress since there is no save option atm. Please slow down the transition to night and day or make it an option to pause so i can explore the game mechanics a little ...
