I've never seen trees clipping through the base of bridges but rocks can and do, eventually you get the hang of it. AFAIK Wind Farm is the only place in the game with trees and they are dense enough that no bridge can fit in there.
As you know wherever you walk or drive, you create paths automatically. Paths actually clear small rubble and rocks out of the way. The more you travel over the same path the "clearer" it will get, up to a point. This way you can clear smaller rocks and rubble out of the way to make structures where they may not be possible to make initially upon first visit.
Not sure how far you are in the game, but later there are more fun and creative ways to get to Musician.
Wind Farm is actually exactly where the bridge I mentioned that has trees clipping through it is. I've beaten the original DS on the hardest difficulty so I know so I know I can just throw down some ziplines but that makes the whole game trivial and boring.
