I had the same issue, had to go to steamVr menu, openXR, and then set steam VR as openXR

i have the same issues where in steamVR settings are in het openXR menu "current OpenXR runtime: SteamVR. Underneath that is manage OpenXR API layers: 0 active. If i click on this i get "no OpenXR API layers installed". What from where do i need to install? Been searching the discussions/Google/Reddit from 3 hours now and cannot find a good explanation what to do.

In game properties, in the launch tab write -vr, in stram vr setings deactivate open xr and any other option you have active there

So doing this on top of what I mentioned earlier got it not to crash for me any more now.

- Go to the game properties
- then to the “General” tab
- and add -force -dx11 to the launch

And also in basic graphics setting turned off upscaling.
