Source Filmmaker
In the Source Filmmaker program, I can't copy with the associated model

Hello, I have a problem with Source Filmmaker. I cannot copy so that the related items of the first model remain with the second copied model. A warning constantly pops up, and the copied model is simply not connected. And I do not know how to fix it, please tell me.

it just won't copy the locks over, you'll have to reapply them

and there is no fashion to save the binding or save all related items as a separate model, is there really nothing like this way?
You can copy/blade the shot itself, but as far as I know that's the only way.

Can I go into more detail?

There's not much more to add, really. If you copy or blade the shot, you'll end up with another identically set up shot, including locks, that you can then modify independently from the original shot. If you can't or won't reapply locks manually, that's your best option.

he means copy and pasting a model with the locks intact I'm pretty sure

I know. And like I said, copying/blading the whole shot is the only way to achieve that, since copying animation sets does not retain locks. I don't see what's hard to understand about this.

Why would that duplicate the model? that's just creating a second instance of the same model in a separate shot. They want to duplicate the model in the same shot so that there's two independently. Like copying and pasting goons that are holding weapons or something, that's what I'm getting from this

They never specified that it was for copying in the same shot. If that's what they mean then yeah, that would indeed not work.
